Welcome to my island
Through embroidery, I relive my childhood in Mauritius, a land of colours, nature and vivid memories. My work explores nostalgia from a time of innocence and simple joy, highlighting Mauritian fauna and flora, both real and extinct, such as the dodo.
The thread becomes a tool of memory, transmission and contemplation, between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary creation.
